Who we are
This website is operated by comnect UG (haftungsbeschränkt), Christburger Str. 23, 10405 Berlin, Germany ("we"). We are the data controller for the processing described here. Contact: info@stumpremovalservice.com. Full operator details are in our Legal Notice.
What we collect
Estimate requests. When you submit the request form we collect: your name, phone number, email address, ZIP code, the job details you selected (number and size of stumps, the estimate range you were shown, optional notes), and a consent record (the wording you agreed to, the time of agreement, and the page you agreed on).
Server logs. Our hosting provider records technical access data (IP address, requested URL, timestamp, user agent) for security and operations.
Analytics. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used — pages visited, approximate region, device type. Google Analytics sets cookies (such as _ga) for this purpose; GA4 does not store IP addresses. We use the data only in aggregate to improve the site, and we use no advertising trackers. You can block Google Analytics with the opt-out browser add-on or any standard content blocker.
Why we process it
We use your request data for exactly one purpose: to arrange your stump-removal estimate. That means reviewing your request and passing it to one vetted local contractor, who then contacts you directly. We may also contact you ourselves about your request. Legal bases where the GDPR applies: performance of a contract or pre-contractual steps (Art. 6(1)(b)) and your consent to being contacted (Art. 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw at any time.
Who receives your data
- One matched local contractor — receives your request so they can contact you. Never more than one per request, and your details are not sold to lead lists.
- Resend, Inc. (USA) — transmits the request to us by email as our processor.
- Vercel, Inc. (USA) — hosts this website and processes server logs.
- Google LLC / Google Ireland Ltd. — processes usage statistics for us as the provider of Google Analytics.
Should we begin routing requests through a partner network in the future, this policy will be updated and the consent language on the form changed before any data is shared with such a partner.
Retention
Request data is kept as long as needed to arrange and document your estimate and to meet legal record-keeping duties, then deleted. Consent records are retained as evidence for as long as claims based on the contact could arise.
Your rights
Where the GDPR applies you have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability, and objection, plus the right to withdraw consent with future effect and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. California residents have comparable rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know and delete — note that we do not sell personal information. To exercise any right, email info@stumpremovalservice.com.
Changes
We will update this policy when the service changes and show the date of the current version at the top of this page.
